BG Staffing is seeking a skilled Apartment Maintenance Technician to support a busy community in Charleston, SC (29414) . This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in delivering high‑quality maintenance work and ensuring residents enjoy a safe, clean, and comfortable living environment.

Position Details

• Role: Apartment Maintenance Technician
• Location: Charleston, SC 29414
• Pay: $21/hr
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9 AM–5 PM
• Opportunity Type: Contract or Contract‑to‑Hire

Responsibilities

• Prepare make‑ready apartments, including:
  • Painting and touch‑ups
  • Carpet repairs
  • Cleaning and housekeeping tasks
  • General repairs
  • Any duties required to ensure a quality move‑in experience
• Respond to resident service requests promptly and professionally
• Perform maintenance functions such as:
  • Plumbing
  • HVAC support (if certified)
  • Basic electrical repairs
  • General carpentry
  • Painting
  • Seasonal tasks such as snow removal (if applicable)
• Maintain grounds, pools/hot tubs, common areas, and dog park amenities to ensure they remain clean, safe, and operational
• Participate in on‑call rotation as needed for after‑hours emergencies

Requirements

• Previous apartment maintenance or make‑ready experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of general maintenance functions
• Ability to troubleshoot and complete repairs efficiently
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• HVAC certification a plus but not required
