Job Description

We are seeking professional, VA DCJS licensed, Armed Security Officers to join our team. In this role, your primary responsibility will be to provide a safe and secure environment. You will patrol assigned premises; protect assets, staff, and the general public; deter any illegal or inappropriate activity; respond to emergencies and summon proper authorities as required. The ideal candidate has experience with public safety and security and operates with a high degree of integrity at all times. 

Responsibilities 

• Patrol the premises and maintain a high level of visibility.
• Monitor entrances and exits to ensure authorized personnel, guests, and patrons access the facility per facility policy.
• Remove trespassers when necessary.
• Respond to inquiries from general public.
• Respond to reports of suspicious activity.
• Complete daily activity reports and document any incidents.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Security Guard or in a similar position is preferred.
• Valid VA Department of Criminal Justice armed security registration required
• High school diploma/GED required
• Strong understanding of public safety and security procedures
• Strong written communication skills and report writing ability
• High level of integrity and professionalism
• Attention to detail and strong observational skills
• Ability to work without direct supervision
• Good customer service skills required.
