Discount Tire is seeking an Assistant Manager – Hiring Now – to support day‑to‑day retail operations in our Automotive (vehicles/parts/service) environment. As an Assistant Manager in Retail Operations, you will help lead a high‑energy store team focused on delivering outstanding customer service and safe, efficient tire and wheel services. Working closely with the Store Manager, you will assist with supervising staff, scheduling, training, and coaching team members to meet performance, safety, and customer satisfaction goals. You will help ensure that every customer receives friendly, knowledgeable support, from explaining tire and wheel options to overseeing installation, balancing, rotations, and related services. In this role, you will participate in opening and closing procedures, oversee cash handling and basic inventory control, and maintain store appearance and safety standards. You will support sales by learning Discount Tire’s product lines, recommending appropriate tire and wheel solutions, and helping to meet or exceed store revenue and productivity targets. You will also assist with interviewing and onboarding new team members, reinforcing Discount Tire’s culture of teamwork, mutual respect, and inclusion. This position requires comfort with hands‑on work in a fast‑paced automotive service bay, including working alongside technicians as needed to keep wait times low and service quality high.
