Harbor is seeking a Clinical Manager to join the team in Perrysburg! This role supports clinical operations through treatment oversight, team leadership, supervision, and direct client care to help ensure high-quality, trauma-informed services.

Position is full-time.

Education/Experience/Other Requirements :

  • Master’s or Doctoral degree in mental health field, experience in Management or Clinical Supervision. Must have or obtain within 90 days of employment an Ohio independent license (e.g., LISW, LPCC). Must have and/or obtain within 15 months of employment licensure with supervisory endorsement. Must demonstrate competence in all aspects of the clinical service areas and population(s) assigned and supervising, private and public insurance, and an understanding of health care business management
  • Must be a team player, honest, self-motivated, and organized.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills required.
  • Able to effectively supervise, provide patient focused services and motivate staff to achieve maximum results.
  • Able to work successfully with interdisciplinary teams.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license, acceptable driving record, and show proof of personal auto insurance policy to be deemed insurable with Harbor’s vehicle insurance carrier.
  • Must be proficient and accurate in computer use, including Microsoft Word.
  • Required to obtain Health Officer certification within 6 months of employment.
  • CPR/First Aid and NCI/CPI Certifications required within 90 days of employment.

Essential Job Competencies/Primary Duties:

  1. Exhibits leadership and team-building skills to promote a positive culture among the team, among the department, and across the agency.
  2. Demonstrates leadership and supervision skills that lead to acceptable/expected levels of productivity, efficiency, and effectiveness of team members in providing excellent care to clients.
  3. Works in coordination with other Clinical Managers, Clinical Coordinators and Physician Led Patient Centered Teams to ensure coverage of services, supervision, and crisis support across teams and programs.
  4. Trains staff, manages, coordinates, evaluates, and supervises all operations for assigned clinical staff and treatment services.
  5. Provides personnel management functions for all assigned staff including supervision, annual evaluations, involvement in hiring, disciplinary actions, etc. Any disciplinary action involving time off without pay or termination requires coordination/consultation with the Clinical Director and Human Resources.
  6. Provides group supervision for persons seeking higher licensure.
  7. Serves as consultant and supervisor for Duty to Protect and manages incident reports according to agency policy.
  8. Assists in innovation, development, implementation, and evaluation of services, including outcome and grant reporting
  9. Participates in staff meetings, serves on committees as appointed, and is actively involved in continuing education and professional organizations as appropriate.
  10. Provides direct services as budgeted – and as indicated by client, team, program, or staff needs.
  11. Provides leadership and supervision to support the team in fulfilling or exceeding budgeted service expectations.
  12. Monitors and manages team budget with the assigned supervisor.
  13. Maintains client records and completes all documentation on a “real-time” basis.
  14. Assures that all clinical files of the team meet all certification and accreditation requirements.
  15. Reviews clinical documentation and co-signs as required.
  16. Assists with preparing the team for accreditation, licensure, certification, and audits.
  17. Completes clinical documentation in the format appropriate and acceptable to Harbor.
  18. Ensures customer satisfaction for both internal and external customers.
  19. Provides consultation and education services to individuals and groups in the community as needed.
  20. Works with others to secure new business, referrals and relationships for Harbor as assigned.
  21. Keeps current with trends and developments related to essential job competencies and demonstrates continued growth.
  22. Available for and able to handle emergency situations promptly, clinically, and professionally and provides Pre-screening services as needed.
  23. Reviews “Authorizations to Disclose / Obtain Confidential Information” (ROIs/PHIs) as requested by Medical Records for ROIs needing clinical review.
  24. Participates in external committees, events, and media coverage to ensure Harbor representation.
  25. Must be willing to work flexible hours including evenings and/or weekends.
