About the Role

The Company is seeking an Executive Director to serve as a strategic and relationship-oriented leader, guiding the operational, financial, and administrative functions of the organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the effective and sustainable operation of the synagogue, in alignment with its mission to foster meaningful spiritual experiences, lifelong learning, and community engagement. This senior leadership role requires a minimum of 7 years' of leadership experience, with a strong background in financial management, organizational operations, and staff supervision. The Executive Director will work closely with clergy, professional staff, and lay leadership, and must be familiar with Jewish communal life and the rhythms of the Jewish calendar. Key responsibilities for the Executive Director include partnering with the Senior Rabbi, President, and Board of Trustees to implement strategic priorities, providing leadership for a team of approximately 15 staff members, and overseeing financial operations, including budgeting and long-term financial planning. The role also involves promoting a welcoming and responsive experience for members and visitors, directing the operations of the synagogue facility, and supporting fundraising initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree, with an advanced degree preferred, and a proven track record of success in a similar leadership position. Strong interpersonal, communication, and facilitation skills are essential, as is a commitment to inclusive community engagement and a deep cultural awareness of Jewish traditions and values.
