Forklift Operator

Our client, a leading player in the logistics industry, is seeking a Forklift Operator to join their team. As a Forklift Operator, you will be part of the warehouse team supporting efficient operations. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and a commitment to safety, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Forklift Operator

Location: Ames, IA

Pay Range: $18.00 hour Monday-Friday 8am-5pm

What's the Job?

• Load, unload and transfer merchandise to designated areas in accordance with training procedures.
• Stock merchandise in the warehouse, utilizing equipment and lifting and carrying items to place on shelves.
• Inspect merchandise for deficiencies or breakages prior to shipment or warehouse storage.
• Record all merchandise discrepancies on appropriate paperwork.
• Maintain a neat and orderly workplace at all times, including moving pallets, sweeping, and disposing of debris.

What's Needed?

• No prior experience is required; we welcome entry-level candidates.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds consistently and up to 30 pounds occasionally throughout the day.
• Strong commitment to following safety procedures and reporting any dangerous conditions to management.
• Willingness to perform other related duties as assigned.
• Availability to work Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
