Job Title: Home Health Care Administrator

 

Job Overview:

Dalasi’s House Home Health Care Administrator is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a home health care agency. This role involves managing staff, ensuring compliance with regulations, coordinating patient care, and maintaining quality standards to enhance the overall patient experience. The Administrator will work closely with healthcare professionals, patients, and families to ensure that services are delivered effectively and compassionately.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

1.Operational Management:

- Oversee daily operations of the home health care agency, ensuring efficient delivery service.

- Develop and implement policies and procedures in accordance with state and federal regulations.

- Manage budgeting, financial planning, and resource allocation to ensure profitability and sustainability.

 

2. Staff Management:

- Recruit, hire, train, and supervise all staff, including nurses, therapists, and administrative personnel.

- Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing training and development opportunities for staff.

- Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork, accountability, and professional growth.

 

3. Patient Care Coordination:

- Collaborate with healthcare providers to develop and implement patient care plans tailored to individual needs.

- Ensure that all patient services are delivered in a timely manner and meet established quality standards.

- Address patient and family concerns, providing guidance and support as needed.

 

4. Regulatory Compliance:

- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and accreditation standards.

- Prepare for and participate in audits and surveys conducted by regulatory agencies.

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation for all patient care and agency operations.

 

5. Quality Assurance:

- Implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and agency performance.

- Monitor patient outcomes and satisfaction levels, using feedback to inform service improvements.

- Conduct regular staff meetings to discuss performance, challenges, and areas for improvement.

 

6. Community Relations:

- Develop and maintain relationships with referral sources, healthcare providers, and community organizations.

- Promote the agency's services through outreach and marketing efforts.

- Participate in community events and health fairs to increase agency visibility and foster goodwill.

 

 

Qualifications:

 

- Education: Bachelor’s degree in health administration, Nursing, or a related field; master’s degree preferred.

- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in health care management, preferably in home health care or a related field.

- Licensure: Valid state nursing license or certification in health care administration preferred.

- Skills:

- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.

- Excellent communication and organizational abilities.

- Proficiency in healthcare software and electronic medical records (EMR) systems.

- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards related to home health care.

Working Conditions:

 

- Primarily office-based with some travel required to meet with staff, patients, and community partners.
