James Madison University Facilities Management is accepting applications for full-time evening and night shift housekeeping workers. Applicants will be contacted via phone or email as positions become available. Please note: this position is scheduled for evening/night hours; however, candidates must be available to work day shift during the first week training period.
• Perform regular and special cleaning of assigned areas using manual tools and power equipment such as buffers, vacuums, and auto scrubbers.
• Understand and practice all university safety procedures, particularly as they relate to equipment operation and chemical use.
• Participate in the university's trash/recycling program.
• It is likely that staff will be moved on a regular basis, temporarily, to meet short-term business needs; such as summer cleans, special projects, shortages in other areas, etc.
