Schedule hours will be discussed with employee. Salary Salary is commensurate based on qualifications and relevant experience. Pay Basis Monthly Responsibilities Investigates allegations related to Title IX, EOS, and other cases involving students and employees from inception to findings, including creating investigative plans, conducting and documenting interviews, assessing credibility, preparing and presenting memoranda and supporting documents, and communicating with parties while maintaining neutrality, integrity, and privacy. Provides ongoing updates on complaint and investigation status to the Title IX Coordinator or relevant supervisor. Collaborates with the Title IX Coordinator to review and synthesize allegations to determine applicable interim measures. Maintains thorough, accurate, and comprehensive records for all assigned cases. Monitors compliance with procedures, requirements, and timelines outlined in the University’s Sexual Harassment and Misconduct Policy and other relevant policies. Continuously identifies and integrates leading practices in Title IX investigations, including participation in professional development. Collaborates and communicates effectively with key stakeholders, fostering an environment of respect and skill development for engaging with diverse cultures and backgrounds. Perform other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree. Three (3) years investigative experience or an equivalent mix of education and relevant experience in similar role. Preferred Qualifications Experience investigating allegations of sexual misconduct and/or relationship violence using trauma-informed practices. Experience conducting threat and risk assessments. Familiarity with Title IX, VAWA, Campus SaVE, Title VII, the Clery Act, and related federal and state laws. Experience delivering educational and training programs. Experience working at or with institutions of higher education (preferably in student conduct, discrimination offices, social work, student affairs, sociology, criminal justice, or law enforcement). Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Strong organizational, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively within a university environment. Ability to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds, including victims of sexual assault, relationship violence, or other trauma, as well as respondents, witnesses, faculty, and staff. Ability to independently and efficiently manage a caseload, ensuring prompt, fair, balanced, and equitable investigations in a time-sensitive environment. Excellent judgment and ability to handle highly sensitive and confidential information. Strong conflict resolution, problem-solving, and interviewing skills. Exceptional critical thinking skills, including the ability to assess and analyze information and resolve complex, highly sensitive matters. Proficiency in learning and using university software systems. Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and ability to independently execute routine and special projects.
