Mercy is seeking a compassionate and motivated Nurse Technician to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team within our leading Healthcare & Medical organization. In this role, you will work under the supervision of registered nurses and other licensed professionals to deliver hands-on, patient-centered care that reflects Mercy’s mission of compassion, respect, and excellence. As a Nurse Technician, you will support a variety of patients across multiple specialties, assisting with daily living activities, clinical tasks, and the overall coordination of care in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. You will take and record vital signs, assist with patient hygiene and comfort, help with mobility and safe transfers, and support admission, transfer, and discharge processes. You will document care accurately in the electronic medical record, follow strict infection-prevention and safety standards, and promptly communicate changes in patient condition to the nursing team. Depending on unit needs and your demonstrated competencies, you may assist with tasks such as specimen collection, basic wound care support, ECGs, and point-of-care testing, always within your defined scope of practice. Working at Mercy means joining a culture that values diversity, teamwork, and professional growth. You will collaborate closely with nurses, physicians, and allied health professionals, contributing to innovative approaches in patient care while learning new skills and building a strong clinical foundation. Mercy supports continuous learning through on-the-job training, mentorship, and educational resources to help you progress in your healthcare career, including pathways toward advanced nursing roles. This full-time position offers a consistent schedule with the flexibility to work various shifts, including days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays, to meet patient needs. You will provide care in both on-site clinical areas and, when appropriate, support hybrid models of care coordination and documentation. Mercy offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and retirement savings options, as well as opportunities to participate in performance-based recognition programs. If you are dedicated to providing excellent, compassionate care and eager to grow within a respected Midwestern health system, Mercy invites you to apply for the Nurse Technician role and help us enhance the health and wellbeing of the communities we serve.
