This position requires prior TRUE OTR trucking dispatch experience. Dispatch in EMS, police, fire, taxi, rideshare, or automotive environments will not be considered.

Responsibilities:

• Plan optional routes for drivers on delivery deadlines, traffic conditions, and vehicle capacities.
• Cover back-hauls in a strategic manner by planning and coordinating with brokers.
• Coordinate the assignment of freight to available drivers and trucks, ensuring efficient utilization of resources.
• Maintain regular communication with drivers to provide updates on routes, weather conditions, and delivery instructions.
• Act swiftly to resolve logistical challenges or delays that may arise during transit, minimizing disruptions to delivery schedules.
• Ensure compliance with transportation regulations and safety standards, including hours-of-service regulations and handling protocols.
• Provide exceptional customer service to clients by promptly addressing inquiries, tracking shipments, and resolving issues related to delivery schedules or cargo conditions.
• Prepare and maintain accurate documentation related to shipments, including bills of lading, delivery receipts, and customer paperwork.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings within the dispatching operations.

Qualifications:

• This position requires prior TRUE OTR trucking dispatch experience. Dispatch in EMS, police, fire, taxi, rideshare, or automotive environments will not be considered.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Proficiency with dispatch software and GPS navigation systems.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Knowledge of transportation regulations and industry best practices.
• Flexibility to work 8 – 10 shifts.
