Job Summary Develops proposals in response to solicitations (RFPs, RFIs, RFQs, etc.) from employers, government agencies, commercial healthcare organizations, pharma, and health systems across multiple lines of business as directed by manager. Responsible for project management including attending strategy calls, developing timelines, coordinating assignments, content development, formatting drafts, obtaining approvals, and editing content as directed by manager. Ensures incorporation of project strategy, compliance with client and legal requirements, and proposal consistency and accuracy. May manage multiple projects simultaneously while consistently meeting client deadlines and stakeholder expectations. Effectively communicates and partners with project stakeholders including the sales organization and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs). Ensures the accuracy and completeness of proposal content within required deadlines. Partners with Subject Matter Experts to create content and ensure that updates to programs and services are accurately reflected in our knowledge base (RocketDocs). Edits assigned portions of proposal knowledge base in conjunction with SMEs during annual content review process. Other responsibilities as aligned with Proposal Services function. Job Responsibilities Ensures on-time completion of proposals across multiple business segments. Ensures accurate and timely follow-up in support of finalist negotiations. Works with the sales organization to establish strategy plans, kickoff calls, and other positioning discussions. Works with the sales organization, SMEs, and team leadership to meet deadlines in both initial submittals and follow-up as needed. Salary and Benefits The expected salary range for this position is $63,100 to $101,200, plus a bonus pursuant to the terms of any bonus plan, if applicable. Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree and at least one (1) year experience in Third Party sales proposal development and administration OR High School Diploma/GED and at least 4 years of experience in Third Party sales proposal development and administration. Experience collaborating with both internal and external resources to develop strategies that meet company goals within budget and established timelines. Experience developing ways of accomplishing goals with little or no supervision, depending on oneself to complete objectives and determining when escalation of issues is necessary. Intermediate level skill in Microsoft Word (for example: inserting headers, page breaks, page numbers and tables and/or adjusting table columns). Intermediate level skill in Microsoft PowerPoint (for example: applying a theme, formatting character spacing, inserting a picture, changing slide layout and theme colors, adding transitions, customizing slide numbers, changing chart style and/or formatting font). Intermediate level skill in Microsoft Excel (for example: using SUM function, setting borders, setting column width, inserting charts, using text wrap, sorting, setting headers and footers and/or print scaling). Willing to travel up to 10% of the time for business purposes (within state and out of state). Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in English, Marketing, Journalism, or Communications Healthcare Proposal Experience Demonstrated persuasive business writing skills Strong communication skills. Experience establishing & maintaining relationships with individuals at all levels of the organization, external consultants, and contacts across all communication channels (email, MS Teams, telephone, face-to-face) Experience with project management including leading a team from strategy to submission, developing timelines, coordinating assignments, obtaining approvals, and managing drafts and reviews.
