Mission Health, based in Asheville, NC, is seeking a dedicated Psych Registered Nurse to join our Healthcare & Medical Services department. As a key member of our behavioral health team, you will provide compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to adult and/or adolescent patients experiencing a wide range of psychiatric and co‑occurring conditions in an inpatient and/or outpatient setting. Working within a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment that emphasizes teamwork, respect, and professional growth, you will perform comprehensive mental health and physical assessments, develop and implement individualized plans of care, administer medications and treatments safely, and closely monitor patient responses and changes in condition. You will play a central role in crisis intervention and de‑escalation, using trauma‑informed and recovery‑oriented approaches to support patient safety and stabilization. In this role, you will coordinate care with psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, therapists, and other healthcare professionals, actively participate in treatment team meetings and care conferences, and provide clear, empathetic education to patients and families about diagnoses, medications, coping strategies, and available community resources. You will maintain accurate, timely documentation in the electronic health record, uphold all regulatory and organizational policies, and contribute to continuous quality and safety initiatives across the unit.
