Role Description This is a part-time on-site role located in Lyons, Kansas for a Public Health Nurse. The Public Health Nurse will focus on delivering high‑quality nursing care and health education to individuals and families within the community. Responsibilities include providing public health services, performing case management, administering medications and immunizations, supporting disease prevention programs, and educating the community on health and wellness practices. Collaboration with other medical and community professionals is also central to this role, ensuring comprehensive care and well‑being for all served. Qualifications Passion for Public Health Nursing and Community Health Solid understanding of Medicine and disease prevention protocols Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively educate and engage with diverse populations Current nursing license and relevant certifications (e.g., CPR certification) Experience in working with public health agencies or community health programs is highly desirable Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent experience Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment Knowledge of local health regulations and initiatives is a plus #J-18808-Ljbffr Rice County Health Department
