Job Title: Rail Car Driver
Job Description

As a Rail Car Driver, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of vehicles within and between our main facility, off-site lots, and rail locations. This position requires physical endurance and precision, as you will be responsible for tasks such as driving vehicles into tight spaces, handling heavy equipment, and maintaining the cleanliness of company assets.

Responsibilities

• Walk and stand for most of the day, covering up to 10 miles at a fast pace.
• Safely transport vehicles to and from various locations, including the main facility, off-site lots, and rail locations.
• Place 50lb steel plates onto railcars with accuracy and care.
• Drive vehicles into tight parking spaces with precision and at various angles.
• Conduct tasks such as staging, scanning vehicles, removing tow hooks, operating the car wash, fueling vehicles, and inspecting state of charge and battery conditions.
• Perform jumpstarts and daily checks on company equipment.
• Maintain the cleanliness of company and OEM equipment and products.
• Operate effectively in all weather conditions throughout the year.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

• Experience in driving and general labor.
• Proficiency in logistics and driving cars on railcars.
• Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
• Ability to operate vehicles with automatic transmissions.

• Experience with manual transmissions is recommended but not required.

Work Environment

This position operates Monday through Friday from 6am to 2:30pm in Tacoma, WA. The role involves working outdoors in various weather conditions throughout the year, with responsibilities that require physical endurance and attention to detail.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tacoma, WA.

The pay range for this position is $30.25 - $30.25/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Tacoma,WA.
