Summary:

The SEO Digital Content Writer, AI Search Optimization Specialist, plays a critical role in building William Raveis’ foundation for AI Search Optimization to help define and grow our AEO presence. SEO Digital Content Writer will be responsible for planning, writing, and optimizing blog and email content that performs across traditional search (SEO), answer engines (AEO), and generative AI engines (GEO). This role focuses on creating authoritative, structured, and AI-friendly content that drives visibility, citations, and qualified traffic from Google, Bing, AI overviews, and LLM-based search tools. The SEO Digital Content Writer will be part of the HQ Marketing team and will work closely with the Public Relations & Content Manager and the AI & SEM Analyst.

Essential Functions:

Content Strategy & Planning:

• Research and develop content topics aligned with SEO, AEO, and GEO goals, including keywords, questions & answers, and local happenings.
• Create and maintain content calendars focused on AI search opportunities.

Content Creation:

• Write clear, engaging, and accurate blog posts, guides, FAQs, and resource pages optimized for SEO, AEO, and GEO.
• Structure content for AI extraction using headings, summaries, FAQs, bullet lists, tables, and concise answer blocks.
• Incorporate semantic and entity-focused writing to help AI systems understand topics, relationships, and brand authority.
• Adapt tone and format for best authority scoring while maintaining brand voice.

Optimization for SEO, AEO, and GEO:

• Optimize on-page elements (titles, meta descriptions, headers, internal links, schema recommendations) for both search engines and AI engines.
• Create content that is likely to be quoted, summarized, or cited by the AI system.
• Use question-based and conversational phrasing that aligns with how users interact with AI search tools and voice assistants.
• Collaborate with the AI & SEM Analyst to identify high-intent queries and emerging AI-driven search trends, ensuring content is optimized across both paid and organic discovery surfaces.
• Work with AI & SEM Analyst to integrate into new IT modernization of raveis.com.

Performance Analysis & Continuous Improvement:

• Review performance metrics such as organic traffic, rankings, engagement, and conversions to inform future content.
• Monitor emerging patterns in AI search results (featured snippets, AI overviews, generative answers) and adjust content accordingly.
• Run content refreshes and rewrites to keep articles current, accurate, and competitive in AI-driven search environments.
• Stay current on trends in SEO, AEO, GEO, and AI search platforms, and translate these trends into actionable content strategies.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or English preferred.
• Proven experience (2–4+ years) creating SEO-optimized content (blog posts, guides, landing pages, FAQs) for digital audiences.

Strong understanding of:

o SEO fundamentals (keyword research, on-page optimization, search intent, internal linking).

o Answer Engine Optimization (featured snippets, People Also Ask, FAQs, voice search).

o Generative Engine Optimization concepts (AI search behavior, AI citations, entity-first content).

• Excellent writing and editing skills with the ability to explain complex topics clearly and concisely.
• Familiarity with content management systems (e.g., WordPress, Webflow, or similar).
• Comfort using SEO/content tools (e.g., keyword research, SERP analysis, basic analytics).
• Ability to write in a structured, skim-able format that works well for both humans and AI summarization.
• Ability to multi-task, manage deadlines, and prioritize multiple projects
• Work hours: 9-5 Monday-Friday, at William Raveis, Shelton, CT headquarters
