Description Cal Poly Pomona Enterprises Employment Services ANNOUNCEMENT OF POSITION VACANCY SUMMARY : The Cal Poly Pomona Enterprises is currently seeking two undergraduate or graduate student assistants to support an Animal Nutrition Research Project. The selected students will work under the supervision of Dr. Ondieki Gekara in the Department of Animal and Veterinary Sciences.
SOME OF THE THINGS THAT YOU WILL GET TO DO (this is just a small sampling of work variety): - This position will assist with one or more of the following activities: weigh and record feed amounts, feed animals on experiment and others as needed; weigh and score animals for body condition, measure hip heights, collect and process anima/ feed samples.
- The student will work under the supervision of Dr. Ondieki Gekara in the Department of Animal and Veterinary Sciences.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: - Must be a current Cal Poly Pomona student in good standing.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills required.
- Majors in Animal Sciences and Agricultural Sciences are preferred.
- Must demonstrate creativity, attention to detail, and the ability to meet project deadlines.
- Must be able to work in the animal units and related environments as part of research activities.
PREFERRED: - Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Majors in Animal Sciences.
