Talent Acquisition Coordinator

We're looking for a Talent Acquisition Coordinator who's energized by high-volume hiring, relationship building, and creating a smooth, respectful candidate experience from first contact through Day One.
This is a hands-on recruiting role with real ownership. You'll lead frontline and skilled labor hiring across Velociti and its affiliated companies, partnering closely with operations, HR, IT, and external recruiting partners to ensure the right people are in the right roleson time and ready to succeed.

What You'll Do
Own Frontline & Skilled Labor Recruiting
- Manage end-to-end recruiting for Technicians, Supply Chain roles, Rail Shop / HVAC positions, and similar frontline roles.
- Handle requisitions, job postings, applicant flow, resume review, interview coordination, and offer support.
- Partner closely with hiring managers to align on role needs, timelines, and priorities.
- Build and maintain active talent pipelines to support ongoing and future workforce demands.
- Support high-volume hiring surges as business needs fluctuate.
Manage External Recruiting Partnerships
- Serve as the main point of contact for staffing agencies supporting frontline and skilled labor roles.
- Set expectations, manage performance, and ensure quality candidate flow and cost effectiveness.
- Coordinate requisition intake, feedback, and alignment with external partners.
- Ensure agency efforts reflect Velociti's hiring standards, employer brand, and candidate experience.
Build Education & Workforce Pipelines
- Develop relationships with technical schools, trade programs, and workforce development organizations.
- Coordinate job fairs, career days, and community outreach events.
- Help create long-term talent pipelines for skilled trade and technician roles.
- Represent Velociti as an employer of choice in local and regional labor markets.
Coordinate Hiring & Onboarding
- Own weekly onboarding execution, including Monday start processes.
- Coordinate pre-employment and Day 1 logistics (equipment, tools, swag, and readiness).
- Partner with HR, IT, Operations, and Safety to ensure a seamless, compliant onboarding experience.
- Maintain accurate documentation, system entries, and handoffs for all new hires.
Improve Processes & Drive Results
- Track recruiting activity, hiring progress, and onboarding metrics.
- Maintain organized and compliant recruiting records.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, consistency, and candidate experience.
- Support broader Talent Acquisition and HR initiatives as needed.
How Success Is Measured
- Time-to-fill and hiring volume for frontline and skilled labor roles.
- Consistency and quality of weekly onboarding execution.
- Strength and sustainability of talent pipelines.
- Hiring manager satisfaction and communication effectiveness.
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, Management, or related field preferred (equivalent experience considered).
- 23 years of recruiting, staffing, or workforce coordination experienceideally in high-volume or skilled labor environments.
- Experience working with staffing agencies and workforce partners.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple requisitions at once.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Comfortable working across corporate and field-based environments.
- Proficiency with applicant tracking systems and Microsoft Office.
Location & Work Environment
- Onsite role based at Velociti's Riverside, MO office.
- Regular interaction with field operations teams.
- Occasional travel to job fairs, technical schools, and Velociti or partner locations.
- Limited work-from-home flexibility may be available with supervisor approval.
Physical & Scheduling Requirements
- Office-based work using standard office equipment.
- Occasional standing, walking, and light lifting (up to 25 lbs).
- Standard business hours, MondayFriday, with occasional extended hours during hiring or onboarding surges.
